Coal Tit (Periparus ater)

The Coal Tit (Periparus ater) is in the family Tits/Finches/Sparrows and is a small, lively songbird with a distinctive black cap and white cheeks. Its upperparts are grey, and it has a white wing patch. Found across Europe and parts of Asia, it prefers coniferous and mixed woodlands.
