The Scarab Beetle (Valgus hemipterus) is a small species in the family, Scarabaeidae, commonly found in the Northern Hemisphere. It is often referred to as the stumbling beetle (especially in German as Stolperkäfer), it is known for its distinctive appearance where its elytra (wing covers) are notably shorter than its abdomen, leaving the end of the body exposed.
