The Mediterranean Spotted Chafer Beetle (Oxythyrea funesta) is a scarab beetle known for its black, bronze-tinged body with distinct white spots. Also called the white-spotted rose beetle, this species is considered a pest because its adults damage the buds and flowers of ornamental and cultivated plants.
