Beetles

The Fairy-ring Longhorn Beetle (Pseudovadonia livida) is a small, brown and black, beetle named for its unusual larval diet of mycelium from the fairy-ring fungus (Marasmius oreades). Unlike most longhorn beetles, its larvae do not develop in dead wood. This European species is commonly found in grasslands and forest clearings where its host fungus grows.
