White-banded Digger Bee (Amegilla quadrifasciata)

Digger bees are solitary bees that excavate tunnels in soil to create brood cells. Females provision these nests with pollen and nectar for their larvae. They are important pollinators of wildflowers and crops and prefer sandy or loose soils.
