Small Carpenter Bee (Ceratina sp.)

Small Carpenter Bees are slender, metallic blue, green, or black solitary bees forming the only lineage in the tribe called Ceratinini, and are not actually related to carpenter bees. Found in gardens and wild habitats, they nest in plant stems or dead twigs and are effective pollinators.

The Corfu Nature Website currently contains over 6,000 photographs of  more than 1,100 wildlife species found on Corfu.
