Bees/Wasps

Mining Bee (Andrena sp.)

Mining Bees (Andrena sp.) are solitary, ground-nesting bees common across Europe. They vary in size and coloration but typically have hairy bodies for pollen collection. Active mainly in spring and early summer, females dig burrows to lay eggs and provision them with pollen.
