Large-spurred Digger Wasp (Nysson spinosus)

The Large-spurred Digger Wasp (Nysson spinosus) is a solitary, cleptoparasitic wasp found across Europe in sandy soils and open habitats during summer. Females lay their eggs in the nests of other digger wasps where their larvae consume the contents.
