Chalcid Wasp (Leucospis dorsigera)

The Chalcid Wasp (Leucospis dorsigera) is a specialised species of parasitic wasp belonging to the family Leucospidae within the superfamily Chalcidoidea. This robust insect is a Batesian mimic, closely resembling stinging vespid wasps to deter predators while maintaining a completely different parasitoid lifestyle.
