Blood-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus haematurus)

The Blood-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus haematurus) is a species of smaller-sized bumblebee belonging to the subgenus Pyrobombus. It is highly notable in entomology for its rapid, climate-driven geographic expansion across Europe. Originally native to SE Europe, its range has naturally expanded NW by over 1,000 km, which is highly associated with global warming.
