European Tree Frog (Hyla arborea)

The European Tree Frog (Hyla arborea) is a small, bright green amphibian native to Europe. It often has a slightly golden hue with a distinctive dark stripe running from its nostril through the eye to its groin. Measuring up to 5cm in length, it has adhesive pads on its toes for climbing. This frog is commonly found in wetlands, forests, and gardens. Its loud, distinctive croak is a familiar sound during the breeding season.
