Starred Agama (Stellagama stellio)

The Starred Agama (Stellagama stellio) is a robust lizard found in southeastern Europe. It measures up to 50 cm with a spiny body and a tail adorned with distinctive star-like markings. This agamid has a varied coloration, typically brown or grey with darker blotches. It thrives in rocky habitats and dry scrublands, feeding on insects and plants. Known for its territorial behaviour, the starred agama is often seen basking on rocks in Corfu Town.
