European Brown Hare (Lepus europaeus)

The Brown Hare (Lepus europaeus) is a large, fast-running mammal found across Europe. It has long ears with black tips, powerful hind legs, and golden-brown fur. Unlike rabbits, it lives above ground and relies on speed to escape predators. Most active at dawn and dusk, it feeds on grasses and herbs and is known for its energetic springtime boxing displays.
