The Conical Orb-weaver (Cyclosa conica) is in the family 'Araneidae'. It is often called the Trashline Orb-weaver because it builds a stabilimentum down the centre of its orb web where it attaches the carcasses of its prey, plant matter, and other debris ("trash"). The spider sits in the centre of the hub with its legs tucked in to blend perfectly with the debris. This camouflage misleads predators into ignoring it as inedible garbage.
