🇬🇧 Oxalis pes-caprae is a species of yellow-flowering plant in the wood sorrel family Oxalidaceae. Some of the most common names for the plant reference its sour taste owing to oxalic acid present in its tissues (eg. Sourgrass). The plant is indigenous to South Africa and has become a pest plant in different parts of the world because it is difficult to eradicate due to it propagating through underground bulbs.

Μερικά από τα πιο κοινά ονόματα για το φυτό αναφέρονται στην ξινή γεύση του λόγω του οξαλικού οξέος που υπάρχει στους ιστούς του (π.χ. Sourgrass). Το φυτό είναι ιθαγενές της Νότιας Αφρικής και έχει γίνει παράσιτο φυτό σε διάφορα μέρη του κόσμου, επειδή είναι δύσκολο να εξαλειφθεί λόγω του πολλαπλασιασμού του μέσω υπόγειων βολβών.
