The Two-tailed Pasha (Charaxes jasius) is probably the most spectacular butterfly on Corfu. It is not common and is limited to only a few areas. They are usually found around strawberry trees which are their food plant. They are very territorial and will defend these aggressively. They will do their best to drive you out of their area and have even been seen chasing swallows that have flown over their domain. They are the most likely of all Corfu butterflies to land on you if you stay still during their aggressive displays.
