🇬🇧 There is conflicting opinions about the presence of the Balkan Grayling (Hipparchia senthes) on Corfu. The only way of definitively identifying either Balkan (H. senthes) or Delattin's (H. volgensis) Grayling is to examine their genitalia. This is the most reliable method but also the least realistic in field conditions. Graylings that have been identified by their genitalia have been confirmed as H. volgensis but it is still quite possible that H. senthes could be present on Corfu. To avoid confusion, all the Hipparchia species I have found have been combined as 'Grayling' (Hipparchia sp.)

🇬🇷 Υπάρχουν αντικρουόμενες απόψεις για την παρουσία του Βαλκανικού Γκρέιλινγκ (Hipparchia Senthes) στην Κέρκυρα. Ο μόνος τρόπος για τον οριστικό προσδιορισμό είτε του Balkan (H. senthes) είτε του Delattin (H. volgensis) Grayling είναι να εξεταστούν τα γεννητικά τους όργανα. Αυτή είναι η πιο αξιόπιστη μέθοδος αλλά και η λιγότερο ρεαλιστική σε συνθήκες πεδίου. Οι γκρίζοι που έχουν ταυτοποιηθεί από τα γεννητικά τους όργανα έχουν επιβεβαιωθεί ως H. volgensis, αλλά εξακολουθεί να είναι πολύ πιθανό ο H. senthes να υπάρχει στην Κέρκυρα. Προς αποφυγή σύγχυσης, όλα τα είδη Hipparchia που έχω βρει έχουν συνδυαστεί ως «Grayling» (Hipparchia sp.)
