🇬🇧 The Cardinal (Argynnis pandora), is a butterfly of the family Nymphalidae. It is common throughout southern Europe and is also found in northern Africa and the Middle east but has rarely been recorded in Corfu. Its similarity to the Silver-washed Fritillary may mean that it has been seen, but misidentified.

Είναι κοινό σε όλη τη νότια Ευρώπη και βρίσκεται επίσης στη βόρεια Αφρική και τη Μέση Ανατολή, αλλά σπάνια έχει καταγραφεί στην Κέρκυρα.
