The Balkan Mole (Talpa stankovici) is a species of mammal within the family Talpidae. It is primarily a subterranean insectivore, physically adapted for life underground. It is native to southeastern Europe, inhabiting various open habitats, pastures, and cultivated fields at elevations up to 2,300 meters. Its range includes Greece (including the island of Corfu).
