Ground Spider (Nomisia spp.)

Nomisia is a genus of ground spiders in the family 'Gnaphosidae' which is identified by the shape of its anterior spinnerets, the arrangement of its eyes, and specific genital features. Nomisia spiders are typically found on the ground in dry areas with some species known to specialise in capturing ants. This genus are found across various regions, including
Mediterranean areas.
