Wood Ear (Auricularia auricula-judae)

The Wood Ear (Auricularia auricula-judae) is a jelly-like mushroom in the family Auriculariaceae. It grows on decaying wood, especially elder trees and has a distinctive, ear-like shape and a brownish, translucent appearance. The texture is rubbery and gelatinous.
