White Chalk Mushroom (Leucocoprinus cretaceus)

The White Chalk Mushroom (Leucocoprinus cretaceus) is a delicate, white mushroom in the family Agaricaceae. Its cap is powdery or chalky in texture, with gills that turn pale cream. Saprotrophic in nature, it feeds on decaying organic matter. Though attractive, it is considered inedible and potentially toxic if consumed.
