Tachinid Fly (Voria ruralis)

The Tachinid Fly (Voria ruralis) is a parasitic fly known for using moth caterpillars as hosts for its larvae. The adult fly is a dark grey, bristly insect with black markings and prominent red eyes. Its larvae are parasitoids, meaning they develop inside and ultimately kill their host.
