Hoverfly (Eupeodes corollae)

The Hoverfly (Eupeodes corollae) is also known as the 'migrant aphideater' and is a common and widespread insect valued for providing both pollination and pest control services. The larvae are voracious predators of aphids, while the adults feed on nectar and pollen from a wide variety of flowers.
