Broad Centurion Soldier Fly (Chloromia formosa)

The Broad Centurion Soldier Fly (Chloromyia formosa) is a common and widespread insect known for its metallic coloration and hairy eyes. Despite their aggressive-sounding name, these flies are harmless pollinators often found in gardens, hedgerows, and woodlands.
