A small, orange butterfly in the family Lycaenidae (Gossamer-winged butterflies)
Flying in January | February | March | April | May | June | July | August | September | October | November | December

The Small Copper (Lycaena phlaeas), is a butterfly of the Lycaenids or gossamer-winged butterfly family. The Small Copper is a fast flying butterfly that is unmistakable with its bright copper-coloured forewings. In Corfu there are two forms, the normal and the Helice forms.
