The Sloe Hairstreak (Satyrium acaciae) is a small, elusive butterfly with brown upperwings and delicate white streaks on the underside. Found in warm, scrubby habitats across Europe, it relies on blackthorn (sloe) as its larval food plant. Adults fly in early summer, feeding on nectar from wildflowers.
