Western Black-eared Wheatear (Oenanthe hispanica)

The Western Black-eared Wheatear (Oenanthe hispanica) is in the family Warblers/Flycatchers and is a small migratory songbird breeding in southern Europe. Males display striking black facial markings, white or buff underparts, and pale backs, while females are plainer. It favours open, rocky habitats and feeds on insects. In autumn, it migrates to sub-Saharan Africa for the winter.
