Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus)

The Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus) is a large, elegant waterside bird with striking pink plumage and long, slender legs. Its curved bill is pink with a black tip, adapted for filter-feeding in shallow waters. Found in wetlands, lagoons, and estuaries across Europe, Africa, and Asia, these social birds often gather in large flocks.
