Golden Digger Wasp (Sphex funerarius)
The Digger Wasp is a solitary insect with a slender, often black or yellow-striped body. Found in sandy habitats worldwide, it digs burrows to lay eggs. Its larvae feed on paralyzed prey left in the burrow.
